The Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics (EIM) at the Paderborn University cordially invites its graduates to the 2026 graduation ceremony. On Friday, 26 June 2026, this year’s graduates will be given a ceremonial send-off in the university’s main lecture theatre, together with family, friends and staff.

The event begins at 3 pm with a musical opening and a welcome address by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr Jürgen Klüners. Guests can then look forward to a welcome address by the University Executive Board and a keynote speech by Prof. Dr Peter Schreier, CEO of metamorphosis GmbH, entitled ‘The Case for Being Human in the Age of AI’. After a break, there will be a ceremonial presentation of graduation certificates to the graduates, as well as the awarding of prizes for outstanding academic achievement and the 2026 Weierstrass Prize. The ceremony will be accompanied by music from the group WEEKENDER.

Following the official programme, all participants are invited to a get-together with refreshments in the foyer of the Audimax. The Faculty looks forward to celebrating this special moment together with the graduates.

Registration for the graduation ceremony is open until 21 June 2026. Further information and the registration form can be found on the Faculty’s event page: Faculty of EIM Graduation Ceremony 2026
