Double lecture "Career profiles in mathematics and computer science" at the University of Paderborn

On 12.1.2023, a double lecture in the series "Career profiles in mathematics and computer science" of the graduate and support association Die Matiker e.V. took place at the Paderborn University for the third time this semester. 

Andreas Kottmann (UBS Hainer GmbH) talked about how he ended up working for a small company in a small village in Hesse and how much he appreciates the family atmosphere both in the company and in the village (everyone knows everyone) in addition to the natural surroundings. As a mathematics graduate, he works in the company's support department, but also takes on many broader, varied tasks.

Jörn Tillmanns (Orange Cyberdefense), on the other hand, works in a globally operating company with many locations and with a lot of contact with employees from different countries. He works as a cyber security analyst and reported on many interesting and often individually assessable case studies in IT security.

Also present was Katharina Kader, who, together with Mr Kottmann and Mr Tillmanns, currently forms the executive board of Matiker.
