The dean's office is in charge of the faculty, and is responsible for overall tasks such as the coordination of research and teaching, and the administration of the faculty. It arranges and carries out faculty board decisions.
It is also the main contact for the President's cabinet and Committees of the university.
Within the yearly budget, the dean's office decides over the applications of the faculty's finances.

Members of the Dean's office are the dean, the vice-deans for their individual subjects as well as the dean for studies. The vice-deans are also head of their particular institutes.
